To log into your account through your phone:
- Dial your eVoice number (and enter extension, if applicable).
- Press
when the voice prompt starts.
- Enter your Password. Use the same password as you do online. Replace any letters with equivalent numbers on your telephone keypad. For example: The online password Ingsoc1984 is entered on the phone as 4647621984.
- Press
for the main menu.
- Follow the prompts to access the features you wish to use.
- When accessing eVoice by phone, press
to go back to the previous menu or
for help.
- To log out of your account, just hang up the phone.
Place a Call
When you make a call through your eVoice account to an external number, your eVoice phone number will appear on the recipient's caller ID.
To place a call using your eVoice account:
1. Log into your account over the phone. ( see above)
2. In the main menu, press 2-L to initiate an outbound call.
3. Follow the prompts to perform one of the following actions:
- Enter a two-digit speed-dial number. (For speed-dial numbers 1-9, precede with "0," e.g., 01, 02, etc.)
- Enter a domestic number (U.S. numbers must be at least 10 digits, e.g., 310-555-1212 or 1-310-555-1212).
- Enter an international number using 011 or a plus sign (+), followed by the country code, area/city code, and the number. For example, to call a UK number 44 (0)71 555 4321 from the U.S., dial 01144715554321 or +44715554321. For outbound international calls, additional per-minute fees may apply; contact Customer Support for more information.
Additional Call Features (if enabled):
- Place a caller on hold: Press *8 to place the caller on hold. The caller will hear on-hold music, and you'll receive a reminder every 45 seconds. (Note: If the call is being recorded, the recording will pause while the call is on hold and resume when you press * to return to the caller.) To return to the caller, press *.
-Transfer a call: Press *9 to initiate a call transfer (press ** at any time to cancel). You can:
- Press 1 to transfer to voicemail
- Press 2 to transfer to another extension
- Press 3 to transfer to a speed-dial number (if available)
- Press 4 to place a call for the transferee
Follow the prompts to specify the recipient or destination, and press *9 to complete the transfer.
- Record the call: Press *2 to start recording the call. To stop recording, press *2 again or hang up.
Note: If the call was transferred to you from another eVoice user, you cannot record it. Additionally, call recording can only be initiated once during a call; if stopped, it cannot be restarted during the same call.
