eVoice Account Manager: Phone System Manager: Users

Users indicate the individual eVoice accounts used by employees at your company. The eVoice account administrator assigns each user an auto-attendant extension (your virtual operator) and/or a direct-dial number. Each user is also provided with voicemail, a personal greeting, an eVoice email address, an online message inbox, and call-routing settings.

Through the Phone System Manager > Users page, the account administrator can:

- View and manage all users they create, with some users possibly designated as power users, who have access to advanced features.
- Click the Log In links to sign in to employees' eVoice accounts to change settings or access their messages.
- Hover over icons to see information about a user's auto-attendant extensions and/or direct-dial numbers, as well as any extra features added to the account.
- Click the View drop-down arrow to display active or inactive users (or both). IMPORTANT: When the Inactive filter is selected, a Reactivate option is available for each inactive user, allowing you to reinstate them to the account. NOTE: Reinstating a user may result in a change to your billing plan
- Use the Search function to filter the list by first and/or last name.

Types of Users Rights

User Rights determine the eVoice administrative tasks that a user can perform. Typically, assign User Rights based on the role the user will have within your company:

Basic Users: Assign eVoice access to the individuals at your company who will be using it. These users will only be able to edit their own account preferences and settings.

Power Users: Assign eVoice access to the individuals at your company who will be responsible for managing other users on your account. Power Users can create and edit user accounts, reset passwords, modify account-wide preferences (including greetings), and update billing information.

Administrator: Designate one individual at your company to serve as the primary contact for your eVoice account. This person possesses all the User Rights of a Power User and will also receive all billing and system email communications from eVoice. Only one user can be designated as Administrator at a time.
