Before you begin to customize your greetings on eVoice, you will first want to check your Call settings.
- From main dashboard, Click On Settings
- Call Settings
- Inbound Call Settings
- Click Edit
- Choose which option will work best for you
Your current Inbound Call settings will best dictate how to move forward with your greetings.
Customizing your Greetings
- From main dashboard, Click on Settings
- Greetings
- Options Available:
Personal Greeting
> Click Edit
Options Available Under Create New Option:
1.Automated Voice Greeting: Your greeting will be read by a computer voice, you can keep the current greeting text or submit a custom script. There is no charge for automated voice greetings.
> Create a custom name for your Greeting
>Check Set as Current
> Enter your greeting that will be read by a computer voice
> Click Save
2.Professionally Recorded Greeting : Your greeting will be submitted to a professional to be recorded. Submit a script and your greeting will be recorded in 2-3 days.
Professional Greetings are $25 for up to 125 words and $5 for each additional 25 words or less. An edited greeting is charged as a new greeting.
> Create a custom name for your Professionally Recorded Greeting
> Enter your greeting that will be recorded. The word count at the top, will calculate your final cost
> Choose the greeting language you want to have recorded.
> Check off the Accept Box at the bottom
> Click Save
3.Upload My Own File: Upload a .mp3 or .wav file of your choosing. File limit cannot exceed 10 MB. There is no charge for uploading your own file.
> Create a custom name for your Uploaded file.
> Check Set as Current
> Click the browse button and search for your file
> Click Save

5.Use Default
The Default Greeting is a default message you can use. Under the Use Default tab you’ll see the default greeting that will be used.
>>In the first default greeting it states:
" Callers who dial an extension will hear the following greeting due to your current call settings"
The name you see in this default greeting was the name entered for this user at the time of creation. At this time only Customer Support can change the name for the user in the system.
>>In the second default greeting it states :
"Callers who dial your eVoice direct dial number will hear the following greeting due to your current call settings:"
The name for this default greeting is the Recorded Name greeting the customer can set up.
Hold Music
If hold music is part of your call setting section, this is the music/message callers hear while a call is being forwarded to you. You may use the default system hold music, custom music or any other recording.
- Click Edit
- Chose one of the following:
- Create New
- View Library - this is all the saved files
- Use Default
- Click Save when done
Recorded Name
The Greeting callers hear before the system tries to route a call to you.
You then have the option to Choose:

Use Default
If your call settings are set to "play hold music", callers who dial your extension or number will hear this hold music.
